Description
A carabiner is normally designed to work in the long axis. It offers maximum resistance in the latter, with finger closed and ring locked. Incorrect positioning entails risks, notably reduced resistance. Result: risk of unhooking, risk of breaking the carabiner, potential damage to the locking ring.
To avoid this, PETZL's CAPTIVO retaining bar secures the connector to the lanyard, preventing it from getting lost. It also makes it easier to load the connector along the long axis, reducing the risk of it turning over.
This accessory is only compatible with the VERTIGO TWIST-LOCK connector.
