Sustainable development

Our sustainable development policy

For several years now, SECURHIT has been striving to reduce its ecological footprint and to ensure that its economic development and the impact of its activity on the environment are as low as possible.

To achieve this, we implement the following actions on a daily basis:

Management of premises and warehouse:

- Reuse of packaging (cardboard pallets, etc.), systematic sorting and recycling of waste.
- Use of low-energy light bulbs.
- Switching off all electricity-consuming equipment at night and at weekends (with the exception of the fax machine and answering machine).
- Rationalisation of available space: working in "Open Space" offices, which saves on heating and air-conditioning.

Administrative and commercial management :

- Use of recycled paper or paper from sustainably managed forests (FSC label or equivalent).
- Use of printers powered by refillable ink cartridges.
- Responses to calls for tender by dematerialised means where authorised.
- Sending invoices by Chorus or by e-mail where possible.
- Replacement of the paper catalogue by our website: www.securhit.com
- Systematically unsubscribing from mailing lists for advertising documents in the form of faxes or paper catalogues.

Travel and delivery management:

- Rationalisation of business travel to eliminate unnecessary journeys and reduce the number of kilometres travelled, use of hybrid cars.
- Use of low-polluting modes of transport such as train, metro and bus whenever possible.
- Reducing CO² emissions by delivering directly from the manufacturing plant to the end customer without passing through our premises whenever possible.

Management of marketed products:

- Most of our equipment is of French or European origin.
- We choose products of recognised quality that will last.
- The possibility of repairing, upgrading or recycling the product is also part of our selection criteria.
- Choice by default of products manufactured in ISO 9001 or 9002 factories and complying with current standards (e.g. CAMP, PETZL, BEAL, COUSIN, CLIMBING TECHNOLOGY, etc.).
- SECURHIT GROUP may, on request, recover equipment supplied by it which has reached the end of its life or is beyond repair. They will be sent back to the manufacturer in compliance with each procedure for destruction and/or recycling. If this is not possible, they will be entrusted to a company or a specialised public service approved by the French authorities. This procedure may generate a cost which will be invoiced to the sender of the goods (please contact us for a quote).
All returns must first be authorised by Securhit.
