Description
The carabiner is designed to work in the long axis, except in certain cases. The key: maximum resistance in this position, with the finger closed and the ring locked. If the carabiner is incorrectly positioned, resistance drops. The risk of detachment, carabiner breakage and damage to the locking ring is therefore high.
PETZL's CAPTIV ADJUST retaining bar offers numerous advantages. First and foremost, it secures the connector to the lanyard, preventing it from getting lost. It also simplifies the load on the connector along the long axis, preventing any risk of it turning over. The ADJUST locking device reduces the risk of unintentional release.
To be used with OK, Am'D, Bm'D and OXAN carabiners.
