Camp GIANT self-braking descender with anti-panic function
Description
The GIANT self-braking descender is a multifunctional descender designed for rope access and rescue specialists. As well as being a descender for rope access and rescue, it can also be used as a fall-arrest device, blocker and climbing belay device.
Its hot-forged aluminum alloy structure and the special shape of its ergonomic handle give the GIANT exceptional maneuverability even with high loads of up to 250kg/2 people.
Its maneuvering handle is equipped with :
- an anti-panic safety system, which stops the descent in the event of excessive pressure on the handle by the user.
- a gradual-action locking function for pauses during descent.
A button allows direct action on the cam for rapid rope glide under light loads.
Flange opening with safety lever allows the rope to be inserted without removing the GIANT from the carabiner.
Certifications :
- EN 12841: Semi-static rope access device from 10 to 11.5 mm.
Type C: Work line descender device for loads up to 250 kg (from 11 to 11.5 mm) or 210kg (from 10 to 10.9 mm).
Type B: Work line ascender for loads up to 250 kg (11 to 11.5 mm) or 210kg (10 to 10.9 mm).
Type A: Fall-arrest device for safety rope with loads up to 120kg.
- EN 341 / 2A: Rescue and emergency evacuation for 10.5 mm semi-static rope (Iridium 10.5 mm) for loads up to 200 kg.
- ANSI / ASSE Z359.4: rescue and emergency evacuation for 11 mm semi-static rope (Iridium 11 mm).
- EN 15151-1: braking device for structural climbing with 9.9 to 11 mm dynamic rope and mountaineering techniques.
