Description
An ice axe is essential for mountaineering. To make your outings a success, quality equipment is essential. PETZL's SUMMIT EVO ice axe combines light weight, solid anchoring and high strength, all of which make it ideal for steep, icy terrain.
- An ergonomic shaft, curved at the top (for good clearance when climbing) and straight at the bottom, to anchor the axe better in the snow.
- A fine 3 mm forged steel blade with a sturdy stainless steel tip (excellent anchorage in ice) and a thicker middle (for soft snow)
- The teeth on the upper part of the blade ensure excellent grip in the ice axe-ramp position
- Steel tip (a tough, durable material) with specially designed edges for easy step carving
- Can be used as a cane pick thanks to the tip's inclination
- Possibility of adding a carabiner or strap via the holes in the head and tip
- High-quality handle, made from 7075 aluminum (used in aeronautics), with an anodized finish for added protection
PETZL's SUMMIT ice axe is compatible with the LINKIN hand strap.
It is available in three lengths: 52 cm, 59 cm and 66 cm.
