Description
In classic mountaineering, technical accessories are indispensable. The key: safe, enjoyable outings. PETZL's SUMMIT ice axe is a lightweight, ergonomic, highly resistant and practical piece of equipment.
- An ergonomic shaft, curved at the top (for good clearance when climbing) and straight at the bottom, to anchor the pick better in the snow.
- A thin 3 mm forged steel blade with ultra-strong tip (excellent anchorage in ice) and thicker middle (for soft snow)
- teeth on the upper part of the blade for excellent hold in the ice axe-ramp position
- A steel pick (a tough, durable material) with edges specially designed to carve steps with ease
- Can be used as a pick-axe thanks to the tip's inclination
- A carabiner or strap can be added using the head and tip holes
- High-quality handle, made from 7075 aluminum (used in aeronautics), with an anodized finish for added protection
- Excellent grip
PETZL SUMMIT can be used with the LINKIN hand strap.
